John Judson Hamilton (b. 1854) was a librarian, journalist, editor, and publisher. In the 1870s, he attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a master’s degree, and served as the University’s assistant librarian. Hamilton owned, published, and edited the Des Moines, Iowa, Daily News and edited several other newspapers and magazines.
